On March 6, 2013, a package weighing about 19.28 pounds that contained a substance suspected of being K2 was seized.

On March 6, 2013, agents of the APD Narcotic Division assisted Uniform Division patrol officers in reference to a package that contained a substance suspected of being K2 delivered to a location in Amarillo.  The package and contents were seized during the investigation.  The package contained approximately 2000 individual packages of a substance suspected of being “K2,” which is the common name for an illegal psychoactive synthetic compound.  Total weight of the package was about 19.28 pounds.  No arrests have been made at this time as the investigation is ongoing.  The street value of the suspected contraband has yet to be determined.
