On 1-8-13, at 8:42 PM, officers investigated a home invasion type robbery at a residence in the 1600 block of N. Arthur.  The victim, a HF 31, was in the home with three children when the incident happened.  She told officers that she heard the front door open loudly.  She walked out of a room to see why the door had been opened so loudly, and saw two black males standing in the hallway.  One was 5ft. 8 to 5 ft. 10, wearing an orange mask.  The other was slightly taller, and was wearing a black ski mask.  Both were wearing dark clothing.  Both displayed handguns during the robbery.  The one wearing the black mask ran toward the victim and entered the room she had backed into in an effort to escape the men.  The one with the orange mask went to the doorway of a bathroom occupied by a juvenile female and held her at gunpoint during the robbery.  The first suspect confronted the adult victim and demanded money.  She told him she did not have money.  He then demanded her purse.  When she told him she did not have her purse, he pointed the handgun at a child in the home and threatened to shoot the child if she did not give him her purse.  She walked to another room to get the purse, the suspect holding her by the shirt.  He also took her cell phone.  Both men ran out the front door and then east toward the alley.  Responding officers found the victim’s phone in the alley east of the home.  The purse and contents were not recovered.  No one was injured and there have been no arrests in this robbery.  If you have information about this robbery, please call the Amarillo Police Department or Amarillo Crime Stoppers at 374-4400.
