UPDATE: Robbery suspect arrested

***UPDATED 12-19-12, 3:00 PM***On 12-17-12, APD Robbery detectives filed a charge of aggravated robbery against Brandon Markee Hill BM 26 of Amarillo under complaint # 66364-Z for this robbery.  On 12-18-12, at 3:00 PM, APD SWAT officers serving warrants located Hill in a vehicle parked near 2nd and S. Tyler and took Hill into custody without incident.  He was booked into the Potter County Detention Center.

On 11-8-12, at 6:43 PM, officers responded to the Taylor Petroleum at 1600 Amarillo Blvd. East on a reported robbery.  Officers found that the suspect entered the store and immediately pointed a rifle at the employee, a WF 23.  He demanded the money.  As the employee was taking money from the register, the man took the money out of her hand and left the store.  He ran east from the front door.  The suspect was a black male about 5ft. 5 inches tall, slim build, wearing a dark gray hooded jacket with the hood up and jeans.  A witness driving by told officers that there was a dark colored four-door vehicle parked on the east side of the store with the trunk open just before the robbery.  This may be the robber’s vehicle.   No one was injured and there were no arrests in this incident.
